Last semester I was honored to be granted a FVL grant to help with various sculpture projects. Thanks to the fund my final project for Jeffrey Gibson’s Parody, Camp and Spectacle class was able to be completed.

As yet untitled, the work was the clearest and most complete piece I’ve made to date and something I’m actually proud of! The FVL helped fund some of the costs of the beading materials for the flag I created, an integral part of the installation for my final project. In total the beading took over 70 hours to complete but the process allowed me to realize my vision fully.
